My name is Jess Anderson and I’m about to embark on a several week journey around the world. I’m 23 and I recently graduated from the University of Melbourne Australia as an anthropology major. My motivation behind this trip is as simple and complex as the title of this post. It is all centered around the question of “Who am I?”. I’ve answered that question so many times that I can’t even count, but every time I give the same surface level answer that doesn’t say anything about who I truly am. Everyone has the expectation that after college you will have everything figured out, but to be honest, I’m just as confused now as I was when I started. Don’t get me wrong, college was the experience of a lifetime and I found my true passion in anthropology, but I’m left feeling lost in the sea of possibilities that lie in front me. I am beyond excited to take this journey of self exploration, and I can’t wait to share all of the amazing adventures that come with it.
